Dehydrated Pelletized Chicken Manure:
Nothing is added to the product when it gets pelletized. The pelletizing of the manure is what pasteurizes the product. It is critical to keep in mind that all lab tests represent the percentage of minerals and organic materials with all moisture removed. Therefore a ton of the pelleted fertilizer with 4% nitrogen and 10% moisture (90% dry material) has 72 pounds of nitrogen, significantly more than a ton of fresh, wet chicken manure with 4% nitrogen that is 65% moisture (35% dry material) representing 28 pounds of nitrogen. The worst is dairy slop which is under 2% nitrogen and 90% moisture representing 4 pounds of nitrogen. Removing water saves on transportation, storage and the effort needed for spreading. The product is offered by the ton (rather than yards) so customers can easily calculate the number of pounds of nitrogen they receive since each plant has different nitrogen requirements.
Guaranteed Analysis:
- Total Nitrogen (N0) 4%
Water Soluble Nitrogen 10%
Water Insoluble Nitrogen 4.70%
- Available Phosphate (P2O5) 4%
- Soluble Potash (K2O) 2%
pH 7.22
One ton equals 72 pounds of nitrogen
